PES 2008 PC Demo On The Way?
Special thanks to Marco Duxx for the heads up on this one. A little poster aimed at the French fans of PES 2008 suggests that a demo for the PC version of the game will be available soon. The text on the article translated reads:
"Very soon download a demonstration of the play on the PC"

Konami have regularly released demo's for the PC versions of PES as it is common industry practice on the PC platform. I'm sure this will get major questions asked about the consoles. As of yet there is no information regarding a demo for PES 2008 on the Playstation Network or Xbox Live. If they are to release one I sincerely hope it's not the version of the demo showcased at Leipzig. Past trends though suggest a demo won't be available.

So there it is my friends, Winning Eleven 2008 and Winning Eleven 11. Before I explain the differences between the two titles are I would just like to say it's great to finally know what name Konami are going with for Winning Eleven. It was said before that certain employees of Konami weren't too keen on Winning Eleven 11.
Two Winning Eleven titles being released in Japan in the next couple of months. You ask why two titles? Well, Winning Eleven 2008 will be the name used for the PS2 release. On the other hand, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will use the name Winning Eleven 11. This trend was last seen when the PS2 was introduced and the PSone version was called Winning Eleven 2002 whilst the PS2 got Winning Eleven 6.
Sure to be an interesting games show especially with the playable Metal Gear Solid 4!
TGS '07: Konami Media Conference 2007
At today's Konami Pre-TGS Media Conference Konami made a whole host of announcements regarding Winning Eleven. Many of them we had already known since Leipzig with regards to confirmation of the Wii version and Mobile games. However, the presentation by Shinji Enomoto (Winning Eleven Productions Executive Producer) unveiled a whole host of information. He starts by announcing 370 Million copies of Winning Eleven sold during it's lifetime, as well as 15 million copies sold last year alone!

The name Winning Eleven 2008 will be used for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions in Japan. The game is due for release in Japan on the 22nd of November 2007 (7,980 Yen). Now thats less than a month after the European release. Check out the Official Konami Tokyo Winning Eleven 2008 site, there are a whole bunch of never seen before images.
Unfortunately for our North American based fans, the Konami reps had some rather disappointing news by announcing that the game will be released in Spring 2008 in North America. Now this is contrary to all previous reports we had received. All previous information suggested a Winter '07 release. So my fellow North American Winning Eleven lover, IMPORT!
The Winning Eleven team showed off two images taken from the Wii version of the game which is due for global release next year. The game is currently titled "World Soccer Winning Eleven Wii" in Japan.
