Lincoln joins Galatasaray
What had looked likely for several days is now certain: midfielder Lincoln is leaving the Royal Blues to join Turkish club Galatasaray.
Schalke have agreed terms **with the 17-times Turkish champions** and Lincoln, who was under contract with the Royal Blues until 30 June 2008, will sign a four-year deal in Istanbul.
The 28-year-old Brazilian joined Schalke from FC Kaiserslautern in 2004. In a three-year spell with the Royal Blues he made 83 Bundesliga appearances (20 goals), 19 European appearances (7 goals) and nine DFB Cup appearances (4 goals). Lincoln thus played his part in helping Schalke to two runners-up spots in 2005 and 2007.
